Well, the Medicine Lodge Indians will be playing on Halloween in Garden Plain tomorrow night. Exactly eleven years ago tomorrow, I was playing on Halloween in Medicine Lodge against a dominant Wichita Collegiate team. I will never forget leaving Krug field that night and looking back up to the hallowed ground. A thick fog had set in and with the glow of the lights, the place looked as if surrounded by a halo. Tomorrow night I will make the trip to Garden Plain to watch my hometown team take on another dominant team, though one they have beat once this year. A victory tomorrow will take the Indians the furthest into the state playoffs since they were state runner’s up in 1987.
