21 years ago today, a 22-year-old kid took a desktop computer, a blue pearl-snap shirt and a banner that said www.aarontraffas.com to Buster’s Saloon in Sun City, Kansas, to record his first live CD of 11 original songs.
I got a lot of things right, but I also sure had a lot to learn. I moved a lot more of those CDs than I probably deserved to over the next few years, but it’s fun to realize that 8 or 9 of those songs made it on to real studio records many years later.
Here’s to another two decades with the Aaron Traffas Band — we’re at https://aarontraffas.band now and we don’t use www anymore because it’s no longer March 22, 2003.
Oh, and I’d love to know if you still have your copy of Coffee Grounds saved somewhere!
