Hey, all, I haven't posted in a while so I wanted to update you all with the new hap's in my life. Shoulder is healing up nicely, I just moved out of my old house and into another that is in Larry-town. No practice space in the new place but that just means that I need to get out and play more. We've got a lot of shows coming in April so hang on because it's going to be awesome!

So, I just purchased Brant Bjork's new album and it's pretty damn good. It just dropped in the States today so go out and have a listen. The album is called "Gods and Goddesses" and will peel the paint off your walls.

Hey, all, just an update about the shoulder. Had an MRI done and the doc found torn cartilage and ligaments. I'm going to be down for about another week but I can start slowly building my strength playing after that. No surgery yet, we'll see how this pans out in a few weeks.
Also, be sure and watch the calendar for Aaron's acoustic shows. February 20th Aaron and Trevor Burgess will be playing a song swap at Bobby T's. Be sure and make it out to that, it'll be a good time.

Until next time,

Mason

Hi, all, just popping in to give everyone the skinny on our shows and other topics. I recently just had to cancel our show at the Granada in Lawrence. I have done myself in this time by dislocating my shoulder (really badly). I have an appointment with the surgeon on Feb. 10th so we'll see what happens after that. Until then I'm not really supposed to use it much. I'm still considering playing the show on Saturday in Manhattan but I've got to wait and see how I feel by then.  Send me some good vibes because I could use them.

On a better note, I have some video from a Ween tribute night that we recently played. Video turned out to be pretty good. Maybe I can talk Aaron into posting a couple of clips on the website, we'll see.

Well, I'm going to work on getting healed up as soon as I can so that we can get back to booking shows.

Cheers,

Mason

Hello, all, The ATB as you might have seen has a show on February 5th at the Granada in Lawrence, KS. This is a big show for the ATB as the Granada is one of the biggest venues in Lawrence. We are currently selling tickets for the show which includes DB Cooper and the Hard Cash Band as the headliner. These guys are a very energetic punk-billy-grass band that time and time again show their enthusiasm for their show and music. They are a blast to see live. So interested parties can contact us through our website or call us. Aaron has tickets for sale in Manhattan and Randy and I (Mason) have tickets for sale in Lawrence. We would love to see all of your smiling faces in the audience on February 5th so please contact us and we'll get you set up with tickets.

Cheers,

Mason

Hey, all, stopping in again to give you a taste of what I'm listening to. I recently found these guys and really took a liking to them. They are the Band of Heathens out of Austin, Texas. Word has it that these guys got together at an open mic night and eventually decided that they should start a band. Anyway, really digging what they have to offer so check them out. This is their latest offering from Blue Rose Records:

Hey, all, just returning to the blog from a little time off. I've been pretty busy and just haven't had too much time for this list. I've got a great group for you today. This guy spearheaded the desert rock scene in Southern California, he is Brant Bjork and he plays with the Bros. This album is called "Saved By Magic", you're going to dig it.

Well, I'm finally getting over the flu. It took a nasty dose of steroids, some breathing treatments, inhalers, cough medicines and lots and lots of sleep but I'm finally feeling normal again albeit I now get to see a general surgeon about the hernia that I may have coughed myself into, Hooray! I'll get the music blog rolling again very soon but until then I'll tide you all over with one of my favorite websites. www.thisiswhyyourefat.com. I've actually taken some recipes home from this god-forsaken site. I'll be back on track soon.

Enjoy!

Today's entry kind of goes along with yesterday's. I've been listening to some really weird stuff lately. Spurred on by my reunion with a very old and dear friend of mine. This band has influence rock acts for a long time but may not not be for the light-hearted. The newer stuff is toward the top of the player, stick with it if you don't like too much screaming!

They are Isis
