Enter: The Wind

© 2008 Aaron Traffas (BMI)

I didn’t think true; I didn’t think through.
I haven’t thought about write things for a little while.
Another begin, always after the end –
now I’m thinking about wings and how to wear them in style.

Now the doldrums are gone, I’ve got to start a new song.
I’ve got to sing about cheesecake and purses and remove all the curses
and sing it so that you sing along.
Enter: the wind. I’m in love again. Enter the wind.

Write down the day. I’m capture-afraid.
I never thought it could be me afraid of the girl.
Now I’m under the bridge. I’m up over the a ridge.
I’m out where everyone can see me, alone reframing my world.

It’s all your fault. It’s not what I wanted at all.
I was quite happy down there in a ground state of unscared never to fall.
Now I’m feeling a gale; unfurl, my sail.

Now the doldrums are gone, I’ve got to write a new song.
I’ve got to sing about Twitter and perfume and the mess in the bathroom
and sing it so that you sing along.
Enter: the wind. I’m in love again. Enter the wind.

It’s all your fault. It’s not what I wanted at all.
I was quite happy down there in a ground state of unscared never to fall.
Now I’m feeling a gale; unfurl, my sail.

Now the doldrums are gone, I’ve got to write a new song.
I’ve got to sing about chocolate and flowers and my new office hours
and sing it so you can sing along.
Enter: the wind. I’m in love again. Enter the wind.
